Beer, bratwurst and lederhosen will return this October as huge Oktoberfest event arrives in the North East.

Oktoberfest Newcastle promises the region’s biggest Bravarian-themed party this October with a huge 2000 capacity beer hall and thousands of steins to fill, spill and drink.

A huge marquee will arrive in Times Square in October fully dressed in an authentic Bavarian style with chequered table cloths, oompah bands serenading drinkers and a range of German beer and good.

Mike Hesketh from Two Tribes Organisation, the team behind previous Oktoberfest events, and the Central Park pop-up, said: “Oktoberfest just keeps getting bigger and better every year.

“The popularity of the event celebrations seems to be growing year after year, with more and more dressing up in traditional Bavarian attire.

“This year not only are we supersizing the Oktoberfest tent together with more décor and production, but have also added more dates to the diary, setting it up to be a huge month of partying at Times Square.”
