One person has been left hospitalised after a crash in Darlington on Thursday (August 17) morning.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Whessoe Road in the town shortly after 9am after reports of a RTC between a Transit van and a car.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and a man in his 60s was taken to A&E at Darlington Memorial Hospital.

The road was closed for about two hours while recovery work was carried out.
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to a road traffic collision on Whessoe Road, Darlington today (17 August) shortly after 9am.
“We dispatched one ambulance and one rapid response vehicle, and one person was taken to Darlington Memorial A&E Hospital.”
A spokesperson for Durham Police said in a statement: “Officers received a report of a collision on Whessoe Road, Darlington, at around 9.10am this morning (Thursday, August 17).

“The incident involved a Ford Transit and a Dacia Sandero.
“One man in his 60s suffered minor injuries and was assisted at the scene by emergency services.
“The road was shut while the vehicles were recovered, and was reopened by around 11am.”
