Two people have been cut from a BMW and taken to hospital after a collision involving a car and a lorry.

Emergency services were called to Bolckow Road in Grangetown at around 12.45pm on Wednesday (August 16) following reports of a two-vehicle collision. 

After arriving on the scene, two people were cut from a BMW involved in the collision. 

Cleveland Police has since confirmed that the driver and passengers of the vehicle have been taken to hospital.

However, it's unknown at this time how many passengers were travelling in the car.

The North East Ambulance Service has been contacted regarding the condition of those involved.

Cleveland Fire Brigade have also confirmed their attendance at the incident.

A spokesperson for the fire service added: "We were called at 12.48pm to a crash on Bolckow Road in Grangetown.

"Three fire engines in attendance from Grangetown, Redcar and Stockton. C

"rews extricated two people from car. Causalities passed over to the ambulance service.

"We left the scene at 1.46pm."

Cleveland Police are also appealing for other drivers at the scene at the time of the incident for information and dashcam footage.
