This comes months after dozens of key bus services in the area were scrapped or significantly reduced. In July, Arriva described the decision to cut services as “a very last resort” following the failure to reach a funding agreement with Durham County Council and TVCA.

But now a contract has been awarded by TVCA, many services crucial to residents have been reinstated.

From Sunday, September 3, renewed and changed services will be in action.
