After warm and mild weather in Darlington last week, the town is now set to return to rainy and grey weather as a yellow weather warning is put in place.
It is set to be a rainy start to the week in Darlington as the Met Office predicts high chances of rain from 9am onwards.
The forecaster has also issued a yellow weather warning for the region, in place until 9pm this evening (August 14).
This means Darlington residents should expect a downpour of rain today, that may turn into thunderstorms this afternoon.
The Met Office warns: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings."

There will be highs of 19C and lows of 14C, with the sun due to set at 8:40pm.
