Police have released an image of a man following an assault in which another man suffered a serious eye injury.

A man sustained a serious eye injury in an assault in Newcastle city centre last week.

The incident took place at Rusty’s Bar in Times Square on Tuesday, August 1 at 3am.

Officers from Northumbria Police are now appealing to the public to trace a man who they believe may be able to help with their enquiries.

The man pictured was seen in the area at the time and officers ask that if anyone recognises him or knows his whereabouts to get in touch by calling 101 quoting crime number: 95518V/23.
