A cordon has been erected and police are on the scene at a property on a Darlington street.
Police erected a cordon and multiple police vehicles were on the scene at Parkgate, Darlington, opposite the Hippodrome, this morning (August 6).
One police car and one van stayed at the scene for a while before the latter departed, leaving one officer at the scene.

Police are currently still at the scene and the cordon is still in place this afternoon.
A small police cordon still surrounds 90 Parkgate.
The reason for the cordon is unknown with speculation circulating online, though Durham Police have yet to comment.
There was an officer stationed outside the building for most of the day.
The Northern Echo have contacted Durham Police for more information on the incident.
