A hair, beauty, and cosmetics shop has opened on a North East street this week.

Little Luxuries opened its doors on Cleveland Street in Redcar to residents this Monday (July 31).

Owner Kirsty Caldwell, from Redcar, said she began making hair accessories 5 to 6 years ago, before she decided to open her store.

She added her business began under the name SK Angel Delights before opening her new venture.

She told The Northern Echo about her opening day and the support she has received from the community

She said: "It's been okay, steady. We've got quite a few people in today.

"It's been nice to just have customers through to be honest.

The Northern Echo:

"I got non-stop messages last night, my phone literally wouldn't stop buzzing, just getting messages through from people to come and see us and wishing us good luck.

"There were some lovely messages to be honest, it was quite nice.

"Thanks for the continued support, people have popped in just because they want to support local businesses and it's made my day to be honest."

The business sells hair accessories, skincare products, bath bombs, carpet fresheners, and cleaning products.

Ms Caldwell said she was running stalls on a regular basis as SK Angel before opening her new store.

She said she looks forward to meeting new customers and offering something different to customers in the area.
