A suspected stolen Mercedes Sprinter van was seized as police made two arrests in the early hours this morning (Monday, July 31).
Cleveland Police said the van was first spotted by officers in an unmarked police vehicle on Thornaby Road, Thornaby.
The van was followed before it was stopped and two people arrested.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "During the early hours of this morning (July 31) a suspected stolen Mercedes Sprinter Van was sighted by an unmarked police vehicle on Thornaby Road in Thornaby.
"The Road Policing Officer in the unmarked vehicle followed the van to Cunningham Drive and called for assistance from colleagues.

"Officers seized the van and arrested the driver and passenger of the vehicle and they both remain in custody."
The spokesperson added: "The van had reportedly stolen from a property in Thornaby. The victim has been updated regarding their stolen vehicle."
