One person has been taken to hospital after a crash on the road between Darlington and Barnard Castle.
Emergency services were called to the A67 at Winston this afternoon.
A spokesman for Durham Copnstabulary said: "Officers are dealing with an road traffic collision on the A67 at Winston. Road is currently closed."
A North East Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the A67 in Winston at 2.43pm this afternoon.
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and requested support from Great North Air Ambulance Service.
"One patient was taken to James Cook Hospital for further treatment."
