A 37-year-old man was rushed to hospital after he was hit by a car on Tuesday (July 4) evening.
Officers from Cleveland Police are appealing for information after a collision on Newport roundabout at around 11pm.
The incident involved a pedestrian and a car (unknown colour or make).

The 37-year-old male pedestrian suffered minor injuries and was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated and released.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly stopped and spoke to the man before leaving the scene.
However, officers are appealing to speak with the driver of the car or any witnesses who may have seen the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting incident number 131335.
