Two women who held down a 61-year-old man in his own home and cut his clothing to rob him have been jailed.
Amy Beddow, 30, and Faye Wright, 34, of Hartlepool, have both been sentenced to 15 months in prison after Beddow pleaded guilty to robbery and fraud and Wright admitted robbery.
Teesside Crown Court was told On the 8th April 2023, the women entered the home of the victim on Lowthian Road in Hartlepool on April 8, 2023.
They forcefully stole money, keys, a bank card, and a phone by cutting his pockets.
Beddow held the wrist of the victim whilst Wright got some scissors and cut his pocket as the victim tried to push them away.

The pair left the address and went straight to Sainsbury’s where they tried to use the stolen bank card.
Officers quickly arrived and arrested both women and they were subsequently charged.
Judge Paul Watson QC said the incident “must have been very frightening” for the victim as he jailed both women for 15 months.
