The Reddit user went on to explain that they currently live two miles apart and split custody - with them both getting their sons for 'one week on and one week off'.

Following their divorce, Anonymous shared that the couple has 'no real meaningful relationship' except for talking about the children and their schedules.

In fact, the Redditor admitted, they had 'no real idea or interest' in their personal life and assumed that the feeling was mutual.

That being said, the user noted that there was a change in her behaviour in the last year.

She was 'acting strange' and was being chattier and friendlier with them despite them not being interested in a social relationship with them.

After picking up their kids from school, the Redditor explained that he had received a text from his ex-wife to say that he was the only one that she 100% trusted with the kids and that he was a great dad.

In the 8pm text, she also thanked him for it and told him to tell their kids that she loved them.

Continuing the story, the Redditor note that 'werid' behaviour, explaining that his ex-wife didn't ring their eldest that night to wish him goodnight.

Additionally, he mentioned that her car was still on the street when he drove by on his way to work the following day but assumed that she was working from home or was sick.

His ex-wife also hadn't responded to a text about picking their son up after school which he noted was 'strange'.

The Redditor explained that it was at this point that he started to get a bit worried but since he didn't know anything about her social life and couldn't call her friends since he didn't know any of them and her parents live in a different state.

He then left a voicemail informing her that he would go to her house to check on her if he didn't hear from her by 2 pm.

Leaving work early, he went over to her house and discovered that she had left packages on her porch which he notes was 'another red flag'.

After receiving no reply to his texts, calls or knocks at the door, he let himself in and went to her bedroom.

The Redditor then goes into graphic detail about discovering a body.

He explains that he then called the cops and was questioned for three hours.

The Anonymous user added: "I had to pick up my kids and kept a stone face since I was still processing the situation.

"On Wednesday, my eldest started complaining that his mom wasn't replying to his text messages and demanded I take him to her house (which is all taped up)".

The Reddit user explained that his son thinks that his mother is ignoring his texts or that his phone is broken.

He went on to say that he has asked to speak to the Principal in private to explain that his kids would need a week off school due to the situation.

The children were beginning to become uneasy and had picked up that something was going on, the user explained.

The Redditor concluded that he was going to tell them but he 'was not prepared to deal with the madness' coming his way.

The post was originally shared on the platform four years ago by InevitableHour.

However, the story has recently resurfaced on TikTok with many social media users taking to the internet for updates.

One person shared: "Those poor children."

Another added: "That is so heartbreaking."

A third shared: "As much as I want an update...I kinda don't. This hurts so much for everyone involved."
