The King’s Birthday Honours list of 2023 has been officially unveiled, celebrating the achievements and services of people across the UK – and here’s everyone in the North East that has been recognised.

The Birthday Honours are one of two annual honours lists, along with the New Year Honours.

They have been awarded by the monarch since 1860, with few exceptions, and aim to recognise the achievements and service of people across the UK. This is the first Birthday Honours list to be announced by King Charles III.
