North East residents are in for a treat this week as hot temperatures are set to continue according to the full Met Office forecast.

Thanks to a weekend of glorious sunshine, residents have been savouring the wonderful weather while it lasts.

With many people taking to beaches and popular walking routes, the region has been awash with summer fun.

Some people have been enjoying themselves more than others, however, after an appeal was issued following two people stripped naked at Redcar Beach yesterday.

Meanwhile, the weather made the perfect backdrop to a weekend full of events after both Sam Fender and P!NK graced the North East with sold-out gigs on Friday and Saturday.

Thankfully, the fantastic weather is set to last for most of this week with glorious sunshine on the cards for many in the region.

Tuesday:

Today, although temperatures will be slightly lower than yesterday, they are still set to be high sitting at a comfortable 22c.

Thankfully, it is set to be a completely cloudless day with sunshine beaming throughout making it a perfect day for a visit to the beach or a barbeque.

Wednesday:

Wednesday is set to be another glorious day, however, temperatures are currently set to be lower at highs of 19c.

Again, thankfully the day will be clear sunshine throughout, making it perfect for sun-worshippers.

Thursday:

Thursday will be another lovely day with highs of 20c and sunshine throughout.

Friday:

Temperatures are beginning to climb again as we move into the weekend with highs of 22c being predicted on Friday.

Thanks to a gentle breeze it should be a comfortable day despite the warmer weather.

Saturday:

On Saturday the picture is very similar with cloudless skies and highs of 22c once again in the afternoon.

Sunday:

Again, Sunday is set to be another lovely day with the Met Office predicting temperatures of 20c.

Sadly there will be some cloud in the sky on Sunday, but this shouldn’t take away from what is to be another gloriously warm day.
