One boy and three teenagers were arrested after an alleged armed burglary at a North East property.

Stockton Response Officers arrested four males, aged 12, 13, 17 and 18, last night (May 30) after an aggravated burglary at a property on Westbury Street in Stockton.

Cleveland Police were called to a report of a group of young males trying to force their way into the property armed with weapons.

Officers also discovered the property had previously been reported as a cannabis farm which police had previously dealt with.

An axe was also seized from one of the males.

A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Stockton Response Officers arrested four males (aged 12, 13, 17 and 18) last night for an aggravated burglary at a property on Westbury Street in Stockton.

"Officers were called yesterday, Tuesday 30th May to a report of a group of young males trying to force entry into the premises armed with weapons.

"On police arrival, officers discovered this property had previously been a reported cannabis farm which the Force had dealt with already."

Stockton Council’s CCTV directed officers to the offenders who were arrested and taken to custody.
