Retail giant TKMaxx opened the doors on its newest store on Thursday (May 25) relocating from the high street.

The brand, famous for its collection of bargains, opened the new store at the Cleveland Retail Park in Middlesbrough at 10am with queues of shoppers eager to see inside.

But celebrations of the opening come alongside a blow to the high street after TKMaxx closed its Middlesbrough town centre site on Wednesday, just a month after M&S also closed its shop in the town.
