Son of This Morning and Great British Bake Off presenter Alison Hammond has reportedly been approached by ITV to be a part of Love Island.

Aiden Hammond, 18, would join the likes of fellow celebrity offsprings Dani Dyer, daughter of EastEnders' Danny Dyer, and Gemma Owen, daughter of former England footballer Michael Owen, in joining the popular reality dating show.

However, it looks like Love Island fans won't be seeing young Hammond in the villa anytime soon.

A source, talking to The Mirror, said: "Alison was flattered, but Aiden has turned it down.

"Producers know that contestants with a famous parent are a huge hit."

Alison Hammond is one of the favourites to replace Phillip Schofield full-time on This Morning after he announced yesterday he would be stepping down from the popular ITV breakfast show.

Hammond was also chosen in March as the new presenter of The Great British Bake Off after previous presenter Matt Lucas departed after the last series of the Channel 4 show.

Other rumoured contestants for the new season of Love Island 2023

With the start of the summer version of Love Island just weeks away, the rumour mill has begun turning on who may be entering the villa.

The first girl rumored to be taking part in the new season of Love Island is Chloe Baker, according to The Tab.

The Tab said she is an Instagram model and TikTok influencer, who has worked with popular clothing brands including PrettyLittleThing, Missy Empire and Lipsy London.

It’s reported that Baker was also approached by ITV to take part in the winter series which was held in South Africa earlier this year.

When is Love Island coming back?

Sources close to ITV revealed to The Sun in April, that Love Island would be returning for the summer series on Monday, June 5.

The source said: “Love Island will start on June 5, just as people are getting ready to enjoy their summers.

“ITV have already lined up the islanders who will be heading to the show’s villa in Majorca.

“The cast will fly out late next month ready for the show to begin in just eight weeks.

“It is hugely exciting and those working on the show cannot wait to get started.

“This series will be eight weeks long, meaning the couple who win the show will be in the villa for two months.
