A fancy new cinema with comfy sofas and armchairs and food you can order to your seat has opened today.
Cinema chain Everyman's latest venue is in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, bringing their trademark velvet sofas and armchairs to the town.
The screens are showing their first films today (Saturday, May 20) at the Treadmills development.

Guests will be able to relax into the comfy sofas and armchairs while they watch a film on the big screen with access to a bar and extensive food menu, all of which can be delivered to your seat.
Hand-stretched pizzas, beef burgers and small plates including honey halloumi and tempura prawns are all on the menu.
The cinema also boasts a vegan menu, speciality beers, wine and cocktails, milkshakes, freshly baked cookie dough and build-your-own-sundae options.
The brand already has venues across the North East open or opening soon, including in Newcastle, York, Durham, and Harrogate. Northallerton will be the 39th location nationwide.
The Treadmills destination is being developed by Central Northallerton Development Company. The company say they are “determined to deliver a high-quality mixed-use development comprising retail, restaurants, cinema, cafés, residential and a tech hub.”

The tenth instalment of the Fast & Furious franchise, Guardians of the Galaxy Volume three, and the Super Mario Bros. Movie are among the films being screened on this first weekend.
As they open, Everyman Northallerton will be presenting an exclusive Founder Membership offer, available for a limited time. Founder Members will receive complimentary popcorn for their first year.
