The weather is set to be bright tomorrow with the North East expected to be hit with showers and spells of rain and sun.

As we prepare for the Coronation concert on Sunday (May 7), Darlington residents can expect a misty start with fog in the morning according to the Met Office.

The weather will brighten up through the morning sunny spells and scattered showers developing .

The forecaster predicts this will be followed by heavy rain in the afternoon.

They said the weather will remain pleasantly warm during the sunny parts of the day.
