A care home has been listed in the top 20 in the North East out of nearly 700 other care homes in the region.
Located in the remote countryside of Bournmoor, Lambton House has been given a Top 20 award from reviews body carehome.co.uk after receiving glowing reviews from residents and relatives.

The award-winning home includes a library lounge, an in house hairdressing salon and landscaped gardens, serving over 50 residents.
Manager of Lambton House, Marie Grant, has said she is “delighted” to accept the award.
She said: “On behalf of our entire care team I am delighted to accept this regional award from carehomes.co.uk for 2023.
“Recognition for our team and home is vitally important in difficult times in the social care sector, as we strive to improve the care and wellbeing of our residents on all levels.”
She added: “I am incredibly proud of the service and the people at Lambton House. Collectively we pursue a policy of continuous improvement, so this award is perfect for team morale.”
