To celebrate the return of Bishop Auckland Food Festival this weekend, we’ve partnered with Durham County Council and The Auckland Project to give you the chance to win one of two fantastic prizes!

The festival comes to town this Saturday and Sunday, bringing around 140 traders selling the very best of local produce.

There’ll be everything from banging burgers and katsu curries to local cheeses and chutneys, with plenty of vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free options too.

There’ll also be live music, street entertainment and family activities and some well-known faces will be taking to the stage to give demonstrations throughout.

They include Masterchef 2018 winner, Kenny Tutt, and 2022 Bake Off runner-up, Sandro Farmhouse.

The following prizes are up for grabs:

  • an annual pass for The Auckland Project, bringing you 12 months of access to Auckland Castle and Gardens, Spanish Gallery, Mining Art Gallery and the new Faith Museum (opens Autumn 2023)
  • dinner for two at The Auckland Project’s El Castillo Tapas restaurant (up to the value of £50)

To be in with a chance of winning, simply answer the following question:

In which year did Kenny Tutt win Masterchef?

Submit your answer here.

Closing date for entries is 4pm Thursday April 20 with winners to be announced on Friday April 21.
