Detectives investigating the death of a man have now charged a suspect with murder.

Emergency services were called to Oakrise in Ormesby, Middlesbrough, on Friday evening and a 54-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. 

A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: "Our thoughts remain with his family at this difficult time.

"Enquiries are on-going and we would again appeal for anyone with information/dashcam/doorbell or CCTV footage which could assist to contact Cleveland Police."

David Thompson-Love, 37, was arrested and questioned as part of the inquiry and has now been formally charged.

He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court tomorrow. (Monday April 10)
