Two men have been arrested for "outraging public decency and public order" following a viral video showing them on top of a fire engine.

The viral TikTok showed a man riding down the beachfront in Scarborough on top of a fire engine, before being ordered off by the driver.

The video, posted by user 'Out of Society' has been viewed millions of times, and garnered a massive reaction.

It appears as though the user who posted the video has a penchant for viral lawbreaking - with other videos on his page apparently showing an overnight break-in at IKEA, climbing theme park rides, and throwing items off a crane onto the road below.

The video was filmed at around 7.30 pm on Wednesday, March 29. The Police said that as soon as the man was spotted by firefighters, the appliance was brought safely to a stop.

North Yorkshire Police have confirmed that two men, both in their twenties, have been arrested in connection with the incident.

But three men then became aggressive and verbally abusive towards the firefighters, before they left the scene.
