The North East is in for some rain today, but fortunately, our region will miss out on the majority of the wet weather, with a Yellow Weather Warning having been issued for much of Scotland and Cumbria.

We will be seeing some milder temperatures which will be a relief to many.

Our region won’t escape all the rain, however. Darlington, County Durham, and Tyneside to see light rain this afternoon, and North Yorkshire and Teesside and set to see heavy rain.

We’ve put together an hour-by-hour forecast for today, with Darlington as the location.
