Welcoming the investment, C-Tech Solutions Managing Director Mike Empson said: “Our accountants Milner Smeaton introduced us to UKSE and securing the funding package has enabled us to proceed with a buyout of company shares from a director, keeping them in-house, and put a growth plan in place that will take C-Tech on to the next stage.

“We have grown steadily, despite economic difficulties, and are now back to pre-Covid levels with a very healthy order book and plenty in the pipeline.

"We currently have a team of 15, having just taken on a further four engineers, two apprentices and an Operations Manager. We’re planning to take on another four engineers and a third apprentice in the next few months and are also well supported by subcontractors.

“The quality of applications we are getting, including for our apprenticeships, is impressive and our engineers are all Tees-based, working on contracts across the UK and Europe.” C-Tech was set up in 2013 and has completed projects with a number of local authorities, including KFC, the NHS, Asda, Nissan and Komatsu."
