A North East food blogger has achieved an impressive feat - ordered what is believed to be the UK's biggest burger for his 36th birthday.

Craig Harker, who is more commonly known as Dad Loves Food, ordered a burger consisting of 36 beef patties from Burger King, one for each year of his life, and cost a total of £53.49.

The burger alone contained a whopping 6,000 calories, and included a regular Whopper meal, 35 extra patties, large fries and a large Diet Coke.

Social media footage shows Craig ordering the mammoth meal at the Stockton-on-Tees branch of the store before carefully taking it off the server, unwrapping it and digging in.

Craig only managed to devour 12 of the patties before donating the rest to family and friends.

Despite the size of the burger, Craig described it as an “absolute bargain” for its size, saying that if you went to a restaurant for that size burger, you would be paying a lot more.

When Craig was handed the burger, he likened it to going to the Olympics in the relay. He said he stopped at 12 patties because his stomach was starting to resemble the burger.

The Whopper meal alone was 609 calories, the 35 extra patties was 5,075 calories, the large fries was 379 calories and the large Diet Coke was 3 calories, making the total amount of calories for the entire meal 6,066.
