Police have announced that a body has been found in the search for a missing pensioner
Frank Robson was last seen leaving his home in Haltwhistle in the early hours of Monday, January 9.
After an extensive search and a large number of enquiries carried out to locate him, a body was found in the Hexham area of the River Tyne on Saturday, February 11.
He has now been formally identified as Mr Robson.
Detective Sergeant Kristopher Blacklock, of Northumbria Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Frank’s family and loved ones at this very difficult time.
