A fish and chip shop in a North East town has said it will be closing its doors after concerns over “costs”

George’s Fishbar, found on Doxford Terrace in Murton, Seaham, said it will close on February 20 but hopes to reopen again on March 15.

The venue said it was due to “personal circumstances” and the current “cost of utilities and supplies.”

It added that the Seaham shop will be open during this time and they apologised to their customers for the “inconvenience."
