A popular London-based coffee chain has opened a new store in a North East city after months of waiting.

Specialty coffee company Black Sheep Coffee opened its new store on Grainger Street in Newcastle yesterday (Wednesday, February 8).

This comes after the chain spent months in the lead-up to the opening of the store in Grainger Town teasing customers.

Jude Bryson, general manager of the store, said he was delighted to welcome the brand to the city and praised residents for how they've welcomed the business.
