Gateshead-based order fulfilment company The Storage Place has acquired a new warehouse site, creating over 20 jobs for local people in the process.

The new warehouse near Durham is the second to be acquired by the business in the last 12 months, totalling approximately 300,000 sq ft of space, and marks another milestone in The Storage Place’s growth following its award of a carbon-neutral status in 2022.

Job roles which have opened up at the company following the warehouse expansion include Warehouse Managers, Transport Planners and various warehouse roles.

Paul Griffiths, Managing Director of The Storage Place, said: “We’re delighted to have not only expanded our business with the opening of a new warehouse but to have created new jobs in the process.
