The cold weather returned just in time for the new year, but will it be sticking around for long?
The Met Office has warned of colder weather on its way, with parts of the UK expected to see snow this week.
Two yellow weather warning are in place for rain in Southern Scotland today (Tuesday, January 3) and parts of northern England are anticipating sleet and snow.
In the North East, snow was forecast first thing this morning, however, it has since turned into drizzle.
