The Met Office has issued a new and updated forecast which reveals the likelihood of snow this week.

With temperatures already starting to plummet a cold front coming from Scandinavia could bring much cooler air.

The forecaster has predicted heavy showers for much of the week accompanied with patches of frost.

As the week progresses, temperatures will become increasingly cold with a risk of icy patches between Tuesday and Thursday.

However, looking ahead to this Friday the forecaster has warned of falling sleet and sometimes snow.
