Durham Cathedral hosted a candle-lit procession yesterday (Saturday, November 26) to mark the beginning of Advent.

The service was repeated today (Sunday, Sunday 27) and was well-attended by locals.

The atmospheric services featured the theatrical procession of choir and clergy in the darkness, with only flickering candlelight illuminating their way.
