North East native Jill Scott is still the bookie’s favourite to win I’m A Celeb according to the latest odds.

Former Lioness, Scott already won the hearts of people across the country after helping to bring it home in the UEFA Women’s Euros back in July.

Now she’s set to bring home a second victory by winning I’m A Celebrity as she continues to be the bookie’s favourite.

PaddyPower has listed her as 11/10 to win the popular-show with other betting agents listing her as 6/5.

Her closest rival on the show continues to be another sporting hero, Mike Tindall, with chances to win at 10/3.

MP Matt Hancock, however, isn’t that far out of the race, with a chance to win at just 12/1, according to PaddyPower.

The bookie’s favourite first met Matt Hancock just a few days ago in what could only be described as an uncomfortable encounter.

The former health secretary, 44, took part in the Beastly Burrows challenge with fellow late arrival, comedian Seann Walsh, after the pair entered the jungle during Wednesday evening’s episode of the ITV reality show.

When Matt Hancock and Seann Walsh arrived at the camp and were greeted by their fellow celebrities, former professional football player Jill Scott looked awkward when the former cabinet member said “The last time I saw you was at Wembley.”

Scott proceeded to look away, again appearing to be uncomfortable.

Shortly after, broadcaster Charlene White asked Matt Hancock why he decided to enter the jungle, he said politicians are often seen to be acting a particular way and are very serious but he wanted to show the more human side to his character.

He said: “There are so few ways that politicians can show that they’re human beings.

“And I’ve got a sense of adventure.”
