Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe surprised diners and restaurant staff at a North East eatery after celebrating a year at the club with a meal out in the city.

After enjoying a lot of success on the pitch of late, the NUFC boss clearly wanted to make things off the pitch special as well after he was spotted at Miller and Carter Steakhouse at Gosforth Park.

Having started this season losing just one game, Newcastle and Eddie Howe sit just seven points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal in third position and have won their last four out of five games.

This impressive form has led to fans of the club to heap praise on his tactics, transfers, and how he conducts himself - but it seems that it's not just fans that are excited to see him doing well.

After visiting Miller and Carter at Gosforth Park earlier this week, the restaurant posted on social media: "We are completely honoured that nufc Manager Eddie Howe chose to celebrate his first year as Toon boss with us at Miller and Carter Gosforth."

Following the post, plenty of social media users were keen to take to the comment section of the photo to hail Eddie Howe as a huge success at the club.

Commenting on the image, one person said: "Well done Eddie, here's to many more at the club," while another joked: "I hope you didn’t charge for the wonderful job he’s doing."
