A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed after being in a three vehicle collision.
The man, believed to be in his 40s, died at the scene of the incident on the B1222 between Sherburn-in-Elmet and Newthorpe, in North Yorkshire, at about 5pm on Saturday.
The silver motorcycle, which had just left the Squires roadside cafe, and was heading towards Sherburn, was in collision with the rear of a car travelling in the same direction.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "This collision caused the cyclist to impact with a car travelling in the opposite direction.
"He suffered fatal injuries as a result of this collision."
Police were unwilling to release further details of the victim, including his exact age and address, until his family had been informed.
Witnesses to the collision are asked to call 0845-60-60-247.
