The Darlington Restaurant Trail is a celebration of all the different cuisines that can be found right on our doorstep.
From Italian to Indian, Syrian to Spanish, there’s something for everyone in the wide variety of restaurants and pubs to be found across the town centre.
The Restaurant Trail, supported by Darlington Borough Council through Enjoy Darlington, encourages people to try hidden gems and return to old favourites as a way of supporting the town’s restaurant trade.
A list of all the restaurants and eateries from street-food in the indoor market to sit down meals in the Imperial Quarter is listed below.

The page includes a town map and a link to enter a competition, eat at four different places taking part in the trail in a month, take photos of your receipts as proof and enter for a chance to win a £50 voucher.
Councillor Jonathan Dulston, leader of the council, said: “We have an amazing variety of restaurants in Darlington, many of them independent, and all of them vital to the vibrancy of the town centre and the local economy.
“As a council we’re always looking at ways to support our businesses and this is a simple way to show people what’s on offer and to encourage them to perhaps try somewhere new or return to somewhere they’ve previously enjoyed.”
