County Durham Freemasons this week presented a cheque for £10,000 to the air ambulance. It was also recently presented with a cheque for £50,000 by the Yorkshire Freemasons.
The charity has to raise £1.2m a year for each of its three helicopters.
Sarah Booth, of the air ambulance, said the donations were particularly welcome following a rise in fuel costs that mean it will have to find an extra £15,000 to £20,000.
She said: "This will definitely go a long way to helping us. It's always nice to get given such large sums."
