Six motorbikes and four vehicles have been seized in the last ten days by the Stockton Neighbourhood Team as part of Operation Kickstart.

The special operation is to tackle the illegal use of motorcycles in the Stockton area.

Four of the motorbikes were reportedly stolen and the remaining two were recovered for having no insurance. They were seized in the areas of Billingham, Norton and Portrack.

An Audi A4, two Mercedes' and a 4x4 vehicle were all recovered for having no insurance in the Portrack and Tilery areas.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

A 16-year-old male will be interviewed as a voluntary attendee in connection with theft offences.

Anyone with information regarding off road bikes, offenders or the location of where illegal off-road bikes may be being stored can call Cleveland Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
