A YOUNG father who repeatedly flouted court orders is behind bars after a judge told him: "The time has come when the court says no more'."

Reece Jennison was jailed for a total of 12 months after he admitted breaching an anti-social behaviour order twice and a suspended prison sentence.

The 23-year-old was given the asbo in December 2006 for causing trouble in his Teesside community and just three months later a nine-month suspended jail term.

But within 15 months, Jennison had breached the orders by twice associating with friend he was prohibited from being with in public, and committing more offences.

Teesside Crown Court heard today that Jennison also has previous convictions for violence, robbery, dishonesty, criminal damage and carrying a blade.

Recorder Neil Davey, QC, described the record as "terrible" and told Jennison: "You have shown an almost total unwillingness or inability to comply with court orders.

"You have been given chance after chance after chance and I am afraid the time has eventually come when the court says no more' . . . the law works on the principle that they are there to be obeyed."

Jennison, of Cadogan Street, Middlesbrough, was jailed for three months for the two asbo breaches and had the nine-month suspended sentence activated in full.

His barrister, Dan Cordey, said Jennison found it almost impossible not to associate with the friend he was banned from seeing because they had been brought up together.

Mr Cordey added that Jennison had stayed out of trouble for a year after the suspended sentence was imposed and has since had a son with his long-term girlfriend.
