POLICE are looking for two men who approached a 10-year-old girl and offered her a lift.

The girl twice refused the offer of a lift from the two men when they approached her on Thursday, May 22 at about 4.10pm at The Green in Tollerton, North Yorkshire.

The men followed the girl and tried to coerce her into a car.

At no point was force used, but police would urgently like to speak to the men.

The first man is described as being in his mid-twenties, of average build, dark brown hair and dark skin. He had a piercing with a silver hoop in his right eyebrow.

He also had what appeared to be a pair of boxing gloves tattooed to the left of his neck and a thornbush tattoo on the back of his right hand and arm.

He was wearing a baseball cap with a white peak and the letter 'S' on the front, a green jacket with four pockets and a pair of dark combat trousers.

The second man, who may be the driver of the car, had curly hair and is in his twenties.

The men were believed to be in a blue or green old style Nissan Micra with a yellow sticker on the back window stating 'A dog is for Life, not just for Christmas'.

If anyone has any information that could lead us to the identity of either of the men or has any information relating to the incident, contact Insp Sarah Jane Sanderson or DC Jason Roper, Northallerton Police on 0845-6060247.
