POLICE have arrested a man suspected of biting off part of someone's ear at a fashionable North-East nightspot.
Trouble flared at about 7.40pm on Bank Holiday Monday outside a pub on Osborne Road in Jesmond, Newcastle.
A 23-year-old from Killingworth, was taken to Newcastle General Hospital, where he was treated for the injury to his ear and broken teeth.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
