Students have been fingerprinted and relocated as part of a murder investigation after a 24-year-old died.
Police announced the murder probe on Thursday after the student was confirmed dead at the Mansion Tyne student accommodation in Newcastle.
Officers were called to the student halls, on Howard Street, at around 4.30pm on Tuesday after receiving a report of concern for the welfare of a man.
Forensic officers were seen working at the block of flats on Thursday afternoon, while officers continue to conduct inquiries into the incident.
It is believed the 24-year-old was found dead in his flat by a staff member.

And some students who lived on the same floor have now been relocated as police continue their inquiries. Others have been fingerprinted as part of the investigation.
Yet some students spoken to at the scene on Thursday said they hadn’t been told much about the incident.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
The accommodation hosts a mix of students from Newcastle and Northumbria university’s and it was confirmed on Thursday afternoon that the deceased attended Northumbria.
A statement read: “We are deeply saddened to confirm that a Northumbria University student has died.
"We are in contact with the student’s family and friends to offer any support we can at this tragic time.
"As this is an ongoing police investigation we are unable to comment further."
A spokeswoman for Northumbria Police added: “It is believed the two men were known to each other and there is no risk to the wider public, but officers will remain in the area.
“The man’s next of kin have been informed and are currently being supported by specialist officers.”
