FIVE people have been arrested after more than £1m worth of drugs were seized in raids by police.
The 12 kilograms of amphetamines were recovered from two homes in the Braid Crescent area of Billingham, last night.
Acting on community intelligence, officers searched the premises under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Three men aged 25, 27 and 28-years-old and two females aged 18 and 23-years-old were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply drugs.
All five, who are from the Billingham area, are currently helping police with their enquiries.
A spokesman for Cleveland Police thanked the community for any information passed to police and asked for it to continue.
