A 46-YEAR-OLD man had more than £200 and his mobile phone stolen while he lay unconscious on the ground.

The victim was making his way to St Mary's Social Club, on Grange Farm Road, Grangetown, Middlesbrough, when he collapsed.

While he lay unconscious on the floor, his mobile phone, more than £200 in cash and his house keys were stolen from him.

The incident happened between 12.30pm and 1pm yesterday.

As the man regained consciousness he recalls a male walking away from him.

He is described as a white male, about 20-25-years-old, short fair hair, of slim build and wearing a grey tracksuit.

It is possible that a second male offered the victim some assistance. He is described as a white male, in his 20's, with short dark hair, a small moustache, 5ft 8in tall, of slim build, wearing dark tracksuit bottoms, dark jumper and dark tracksuit top. He spoke with a local accent.

He sought assistance from members of the social club nearby.

Witnesses are asked to call PC Adrian Holden, at Kirkleatham Police Station, on 01642-302626.
