TWO well-known television chefs will be sharing their expertise with the public later this month.

Antony Worrall Thompson and Aldo Zilli will both feature cat the annual game and country fair on the Pickering showground on May 10 and 11.

Thousands of people are expected to flock to the event which offers a wide array of attractions.

On the Saturday Antony Worrall Thompson will prepare meals in three cookery demonstrations throughout the day, while on Sunday it will be the turn of Aldo Zilli, the charismatic Italian restaurateur and Celebrity Fit Club star.

An enormous food hall selling an array of produce and products from the Yorkshire region as well as delicacies from the rest of the country completes the line up for the festival of food.

An arena programme will begin at 10am featuring a sheepdog display, gundog demonstration, falconry displays and heavy horse demonstrations among other things.

There will be the chance to try archery, see birds of prey, watch a sheep shearing show, vintage tractors, rural crafts and demonstrations of stick-making The gates open from 9am to 5pm on both days. Tickets are £8 for adults, £7 for over 65s and £4 for under-16s. A family ticket admitting two adults and up to three children costs £20.
