Several crews from Cleveland Police and the North East Ambulance Service were called to an address in the North East.

The multi service emergency response was called to the Kingswood Bed & Breakfast on Norton Road in Norton, near Stockton, at around 11am.

Pictures from the scene show four paramedic cars, an ambulance and a police car.

The air ambulance landed in a nearby field in response to the incident.

The nature of the incident is unclear but a spokesperson for the ambulance service said paramedics were called to a medical incident.

"This was a medical incident at a private address," a statement read.

The incident happened as most of the roads in the nearby area were deserted due to the ongoing funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.

Many businesses and local services were closed on Monday morning as the majority of the nation came to a standstill to watch the proceedings in London and onto Windsor.

Cleveland Police were contacted for comment.
