Numerous shops, businesses and attractions across the North East will shut their doors next Monday due to the Queen’s funeral.

Over the last few days, plenty of well-known national, regional, and local independents have confirmed it will shut for all or part of the day on Monday, September 19, which has been confirmed as a bank holiday as the Queen’s state funeral takes place.

It's expected that many supermarkets, fast food restaurants, and attractions will be giving their staff the chance to pay their final respects to the UK's longest-serving monarch.
