THE RSPCA called the fire service to help two crows trapped in a chimney today.
Fire crews used a 13.5 metre ladder to remove a grill covering the chimney at a property on Main Street in Witton Park, near Bishop Auckland.
The crows were freed successfully.
Fire crews were also called to help extinguish a burning JCB at Brakes Farm in Sedgefield.
The vehicle, which was in a shed, was severely damaged in the blaze.
